Today started out like any normal day...until 8:01am when I realized I forgot my running clothes! So that meant that I could not go running after work. Boo! But then I got an email from a friend who said I could come over and try on some of her dresses for the gala on Friday. So it kind of turned out to be ok!
Right before I left work, Lou asked me if I wanted to go with some of his friends to La Nopalera, a Mexican restaurant, for dinner tonight because one of his college buddies is in town. So since JJ was gone with baseball and I'd be spending the night alone, I figured why not!
So after work I went to Courtney's and tried on 2 of her dresses. At first, I was dead set on wearing the first one... but then when I got home I tried the second one on again, and fell in love with it...
So what do you think?! I can't decide!
So after I tried on the dresses, I came home to feed and play with my dogs, then I ran to the library and got 3 new novels and a cookbook. I haven't been to the library in a while, it's closed on Sunday here which totally bums me out. That's my usual library day!
So after the library I drove over to the restaurant. I did what I always do when I go out to eat, look at the menu online so I can plan ahead! I knew going in I was going to order the vegetarian #5 - a spinach quesadilla with beans and rice. I figured I'd eat most of the rice and beans, the filling in the quesadilla, and a few chips and a light beer. That's exactly what I did, and I'm really proud of myself. It's so easy to eat and eat and eat at Mexican restaurants when they keep refilling the chips... but I counted 10 chips and then stopped. Small victories, people. That's what it's all about!
So unfortunately no workout today, but we are going to run tomorrow, and I just put my gym bag in the car so I don't forget!
I'm so ready for the weekend...

Both of those dresses are gorgeous! And you absolutely fantastic in each of them.
I never thought about counting the chips at the Mexican restaurant. It's an awesome idea to not eat too many, thanks!
Love the second one! Much more sophisticated.
Eek, at first I was all for the black and white dress, but the gold one is much prettier when you click on it than in the smaller image...I guess I would go with comfort if you like how they both look!
I vote for the second one - it's much more appropriate. No offense, but the first one is a little dated looking.
The beading on the second one is gorgeous!
i love the 1st 1 because the pattern is very flattering on your figure. but i agree with you - i think i'd feel a lil self conscious about falling out and/or people staring (inadvertantly) at my chest all night. the 2nd one is beautiful.
I like the second dress. You look really comfortable and confident in it. It's definitely a nice dress for a gala.
Dang girl! Your clavicles are sexy! I like the 2nd one, but, I say go with what makes you feel the best! Thanks for sharing your options. I raced to the website of our fave mexi restaurant to see if they had spinach quesadilla. no-go. boo. :(
Dress #2 for sure!
And way to go on the Mexican food! That's a weakness for me :-D
This is a toughie! The first is very flattering figure wise but you want to feel comfortable and have a good time so dress #2!!!
#2 cause its MARDI GRAS!
And for real, La Nop is the shiz. Their tostadas rank really high on my "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" list.
The dresses are gorg! How do you have so much restraint at a Mexican restaurant? Once I eat one chip I usually can't stop:(
I really like the 1st dress. I think that the 2nd one is a little pale. I understand about the boob popping out, just get some of the double sided tape. You can get it at Walmart. Then there are no worries.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mexican food. We went last Friday. I ate have of my steak fajita burrito and chips & salsa and a diet coke. I could eat Mexican everyday and not get tired of it. As a matter of fact I made enchilada pie the other night and I am still eating the leftovers. Did I mention that I LOVE Mexican food.
I love the first dress on you... You look like a beautiful! Awesome job with the will power with only 10 chips, too!
I love dress #2. I think it goes very well with your skintone. I think dress #1 kind of resembles a wedding gown.
Love #2, hands down.
Yeay for having self restraint at a mexican restaurant! They're the hardest because all the food is so friggen good!!!
props to you for the willpower :)
I totally wish I could move to Florida.... that would be sweet. I would be able to run any day I wanted! and I'd have a running buddy :)
Love both of the dresses, but I think I will have to agree with everyone and say dress number two!
I vote for the second dress, but they are both gorgeous and you look great in them!
1st one for sure
Omg- #1 fits your body perfectly and your boobs dont look like they'll be popping out, lol. I vote 1!
They're both gorgeous dressed. #1 was my immediate favourite. I LOVE the style and I don't think your boobs look like they'll pop out. At first I didn't like #2 at all, but after I clicked on it, it actually looks pretty good. It's definitely more mature looking.
I like the first one, I think the second one looks like it comes down too low at the top.... But you look great in either one.
You look great! I love both dresses but do think the 2nd is the better choose.
#2 is better with your skin tone
I think that the black and white dress is way more youthful. The second one is pretty too but I think the first one is more fun!
